Commander's Notes

I would like to welcome everyone to our new Web page. I want to first say thank you to Andy Howe for all the time and effort he has put into making the web page a reality for me.  This was one of my goals as commander.

I will not be issuing any more news letters.  The cost does not justify the means.  In this day and age, having a web site is more practical and efficient.

You will be able to e-mail me at the post through the links.  If there are any suggestions or ideals on what you would like to see on this web page, feel free to let me know and we will take a look at it and see if we can oblige.

There are quite a few events coming up.  Please take a look at the events calendar.

We are always trying to do events for you the member.  I have tried as few different ideas in the past.  Some have worked and some have not.  We are all trying to make this post successful.  It is not an easy task in this day and age with all the new laws and regulations. I am looking for your input.  What would you like to see here at your post?  Would you attend dinners, breakfasts, or other events of this nature?  We have had Dinners and breakfast in the past 18 months and we don’t get a lot of participation from our members.  The post cannot have the events if we cannot at least break even, the idea behind the event is so our members can come and enjoy the food and to visit with other members.  Some of whom you may not have seen in a while.

Have you paid your dues yet?  We are just over 73% at this time.  I would like us to have 100% before January 31, 2006.  I realize that this is a big goal but, it is attainable if all members have there dues paid in time.

Once again, a big thanks to Andy Howe for all the work he did to get this web page up and running.
